Homemade Orange and Clove Scented Soap

For gardeners, mechanics or anyone whose hands need deep cleaning, make some of this homemade orange and clove scented soap. It will do that deep cleaning, and then it will moisturize. It even does a little exfoliation and it smells fantastic. The citrus and the clove just go together so well and the soap leaves your hands smelling fresh and clean. The orange zest is dried before being added to the soap and vitamin E acts as a preservative.

This would make a nice gift in a basket with other things. Making homemade soap is not hard when you start with a soap base, It is mostly being creative and adding scents and sometimes colors. Also starting with a soap base lets you avoid adding lye yourself.

These are the things you will need.

Soap base
2 Tbsp. ground Clove
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. Shea butter
2 vitamin E capsules ( or 2 tsp.)
Grated peel from 3 oranges
Soap mold
