Do you get cravings for Rotel dip? It is made with a block of Velveeta and a can of Rotel in the crock pot. The problem with it is the Velveeta. It isn’t cheese it is a “Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product.” via: The Organic Authority.

Homemade Rotel Dip Made With Real Cheese

This recipe for Rotel Dip comes from Health Nut Foodie and is made with cream cheese and Colby jack cheese so you have a nice melting cheese to make the dip with that is made from real cheese. It can be made on the stovetop and then refrigerated until you need it then warmed and served in a crock poy or fondue to keep it warm for dipping. Serve it with tortilla chips or raw veggies and it is a really delicious snack. It is easy to make especially when you use the Velveeta. You simply cut the Velveeta into chunks and add them and a can of Rotel to the crock and let it melt then stir together and serve.

But this version made with real cheese sounds a lot healthier and it doesn’t sound a whole lot harder so if you would rather have a healthier version that is vegetarian. gluten free and nut free this one will work for you. Rotel dip is yummy anyway you make it but now you have a choice.
