tin dustbin

bag of sand

approx 10 fire bricks

cement (optional)

large terracotta pot, approx 35cm in diameter

bag of vermiculite

charcoal, heatproof gloves, BBQ skewers

angle grinder

lump hammer

bolster

Temperatures in a tandoor can approach 480 °C (900 °F), and it is common for tandoor ovens to remain lit for long periods to maintain the high cooking temperature.
