For many kids playing in the mud is all part of growing up in many part of country outside of the big cities. Instead of making a complete mess of your entire backyard, you can do what others have done and create a play area called a Mud Kitchen. It refers to a wooden structure that resembles your inside kitchen and it usually includes some old, worn utensils, pot and pans. It can easily give your kids something that will occupy them for hours and hours a day.

Most of the wood you will need to build it will come from just a few old wooden shipping pallets. These pallets can easily be picked up from most any local business, as they often receive large shipment of goods on one or more pallets.
