Come take a tour of this amazing homesteading chicken coop mansion that has an automatic door opener, attached chain link chicken run, nesting boxes and a elevated roost. The creative homestead builders used quite a bit of recycled materials but it was not exactly inexpensive to build. There is a breakdown of the materials list and the cost of each expense at the end of the tour.

They built a double layered shelf that has nesting box cubicles for each hen, front cut out plastic dishpans lined with hay give hens a place to lay eggs.
