How to Build a 2 Liter Bottle Dog Water Dish Project

This step by step tutorial of how to build a 2 liter bottle Dog water dish project is inexpensive

If you have a dog or a cat, you know that they become part of the family. And just like your human family members, you want to take the best care of your pet, even when you’re not home. You want to make sure they have enough space to play, things to keep them entertained, and plenty of food and water. Unfortunately, it can be hard to keep the food and especially the water fresh while you’re gone.

This is a great DIY project to create a water bowl for your dog or cat that will assure that your pet has fresh water all day long. And, this project is extremely simple, easy and fun enough that the family can do it together in the course of an afternoon.

All the materials you need are:

– 16 inch long 2×4
– 12 inch long 1×6
– 2 Liter Bottle (including lid)
– A Dog Dish
– Two pieces of Velcro (both sides)
– 3 Nails
– Wood Glue
– Wood Clamp
– Hammer

Optional: Wood Stain or Paint

This water bowl uses gravity to keep fresh water in the plastic bottle that releases into the dog bowl as it empties. With this simple DIY water bowl, you can keep your pets refreshed, hydrated, and cool, even when you’re not home. You can wash the bottle out with vinegar once or twice a week to keep the bottle fresh and bacteria free.
