This outline of how to build a decorative woven bird cage made from branches hopefully will inspire homesteaders to use nature’s gifts to weave garden sculptures or make rustic home decor.
By drilling large equally spaced holes in a flat pot lid, you can create a mold to place thin willow branches in to create a support system for branch bird cage. Draw the ends of the long willow branches through a funnel to create tight tension at the top that is still flexible as you weave branches horizontal at the base.
