This quick tutorial on how to freeze Avocados for smoothies and energy shakes into small cubes that can easily be taken from the freezer and used.
Avocados added in your smoothie recipe will create a creamy texture and give you a boost of energy. Did you know that adding avocados to your smoothie actually boosts nutrition absorption?
Avocados are a great source of fiber, vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene and omega-3s.
The healthy fats in avocados make it easier for the body to absorb the other nourishing nutritional vitamins and minerals in smoothies from other fruits, vegetables and herbs.. An Avocado is the only fruit that provides a substantial amount of monounsaturated fat (the healthy kind).
