This simple tutorial of how to make a mosaic table top from old Cds is a great way to upgrade a worn table into a unique shinny layer creativity.  A rainbow of colors with  be reflected as sunlight moves across the table.

Materials:

• Pile of old scratched CD’s

• Krylon Crystal Clear Gloss

• Scissors

• Table   (hopefully fabulous thrift store find)

• 1 – 2 Clear Waterproof Silicone Tubes

Instructions:

1. Use scissors to cut CD’s into medium size pieces.  It’s a good idea to wear eye protection while cutting the CD in case any of the pieces fly up.

2. I realized quickly that the beautiful shiny stuff e CD’s will wear away if you don’t protect it. So I spray the individual pieces of cut up CD’s with a coat of Krylon Crystal Clear Gloss spray paint. Let pieces dry thoroughly.

3. Use a small dab (half of a dime) of clear waterproof silicone and press one medium CD piece onto the table. Repeat in a random pattern.
