This simply delicious method of how to make root beer jelly is a great winter time canning recipe.  I know, root beer jelly is not exactly on the healthy side of food preservation and canning  but anything in moderation can be a special treat.

I have seen many recipes of people using Root Beer jelly to glaze a baked ham or even a roasted chicken.

Personally, I am not really a soda pop drinker but on a rare occasion (4-6 a year) I enjoy a super sugary treat. I have a weakness for A & W Root Beer soda pop so I think I may make a mason jar full. I have already been asked by a close friend to make her a jar of Mountain Dew Jelly and it is possible to use any flavor of soda pop with this recipe.
