How to Use Rose Geranium Essential Oil to Prevent Ticks on Horses

Learn how you can use Rose Geranium essential oil to prevent ticks on horses. Any time your horse is on pasture or ridden near grass and weeds there is a chance it will pick up ticks.  Ticks can carry diseases and the bites from them hurt. I would also prefer to avoid ticks that to have to search and detach them.

While there are all sorts of chemical types of tick prevention, I would rather use something all natural like Rose Geranium with is the essential oil from the plant and leaves of the geranium. Rose Geranium oil is also an excellent tick prevention for dogs and cats according to Dr. Judy Morgan.  You only need to apply a drop or 2 between the shoulder blades and at the base of the tail for a dog or cat. Rose Geranium is totally safe at full strength for both cats and dogs.
