Italian Stuffed Peppers Recipe and Tip

What a neat idea to use a muffin pan when making stuffed peppers, it hold the peppers upright while baking so you avoid all the filling falling out when they fall over.

Another one of those ‘Why did I never think of that” moments. When you make stuffed peppers do you make the ones that are filled with hamburger and rice in a tomato sauce? That is what I had growing up but I never did like that combo very much.

Now I make mine by browning Italian sausage and then I layer sausage, shredded mozzarella, sausage, mozzarella put the caps on and bake at 350 till the peppers are cooked, so yummy.

Here Better Recipes shares a recipe for Italian stuffed peppers that is similar but she was smart enough to throw in a few left over items to avoid throwing them out. So in this one article she got me twice with why didn’t I think of that. Some folks are just so creative.
