Jewelweed is great for pretty much any thing that irritates the skin. It helps on mosquito bites, bee stings, poison ivy, bruises, eczema, acne and almost all other skin irritations. It grows wild and the seed pods when ripe will pop open and the little seeds inside are edible. It has a pretty orange flower and grows in all of the eastern part of the country in moist type woods. You can make a salve with it and carry it in your bag when you plan to be outdoors in case of bites, stings or rashes. Wild Man Steve Brill shares info on jewelweed and its many uses.
