Knitting Open Weave Cardigan Craft Project

We are in the winter, which means it is time top break out the sweaters. We want that perfect piece to put on when it gets chilly. Some of us make it at home because it’s just better. We like homemade clothes via knitting because we choose the yarn, the size, and the style in what we want in a cardigan.

This one is a beautiful, warm, and attractive acquisition to the closet. With its soft fabric along the arms, the sides, and around the neck, it is a hugger on the body for all cool days and nights.

This can be made in these sizes: small – 34” bust, 22” length, midsize – 36” bust, 23” length, large – 38” bust, 24” length, and X-Large – 40” bust, 25” length. The size of the knitting needle should be 5 mm with total yards of 1000 to 1225 of yarn, weighted at 9 wpi, and a gauge of 18 stitches along 24 rows. Get Urth Harvest Worsted yarn for the project. When do the front of the cardigan, have the two tabs in seed stitch (ss) form from the shoulder. The two tabs are knitted towards the back to form the rest of the collar.

Follow the instructions accordingly for this beautiful, colorful cardigan that is long lasting all the way into the coldest of the winter season. Enjoy the warmth of the custom made sweater at home that dazzles the eyes of others.
