There are non toxic ways to kill Lice through home remedies using herbs and essential oils.
The life cycle of the head louse (lice) has three stages: egg, nymph, and adult whose only hosts are humans . Nits are head lice eggs and are hard to see. Nits are laid by the adult female and attach at the base of the hair shaft nearest the scalp. Lice feed on blood several times daily and resides close to the scalp to maintain its body temperature.
Essential Oil Lice Recipe:

4 drops Tea Tree essential oil

4 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

4 drops Lavender essential oil
Mix with 2 teaspoons of melted coconut oil
Apply to the scalp and throughout the hair up to three times per day. Place a disposable shower cap over head and leave the mixture on for 45 minutes. Shampoo and rinse the hair thoroughly and use a lice comb to remove nits. Comb from scalp then down the hair shaft. Remove nits from lice comb before combing another bunch of hair.
