Make Gorgeous Candle Holders From Cement

With summer peeking around the corner or all the way in progress depending on where you are we will all be spending a lot more time outdoors. I know we spend time out working in the garden and taking care of the lawn or watching the grandkids play but we also spend a lot if evenings outside and what a great functional yet gorgeous way to shed a little light these cement candle holders are. Centsational Girl walks you through making these using plastic containers and cement.

Since the cement doesn’t adhere to the plastic, it is perfect for use as molds. These she painted afterwards and she made others with rocks on top and says you could use shells and I think even marbles would be pretty. The plastic containers are totally reusable so you can make them over and over if you wanted to. Make the single tea light holder or the three tea light and with a bigger bottom container you could make a bigger holder. Using her technique you could make all sorts of shapes and sizes to suit your needs. I like these because you don’t have to worry about them getting broken or ruined by the weather.

You could burn real tealights or if there were a lot of small children around you could use the battery operated tealights. Either type candle you put in these holders will look great. I think they would be really pretty sitting here and there in the flower garden with tea lights, at night it would look like little fairy light down in the flowers.
