For the folks that use a bow and arrow and are more of a traditionalist here is a recipe to make your own beeswax to use when waxing your bow strings. You can just buy string wax but this one it one that you make yourself using beeswax, rosin and olive oil to make it a little softer and easier to use. Archers  Review shares the instructions for making this beeswax for strings and says it is perfect for Flemmish twist strings. He also tells us that you should be waxing your strings at least once a month and better yet after every time you shoot. Keeping the strings waxed can help to prevent a bow breaking and costing the replacement of it. making your own beeswax for your strings will probably make you want to use it more often than something you just bought.
