I thought I had seen just about every recipe there could be for using pumpkin, From pies to ravioli it seems pumpkin can be used in almost any recipe from sweet to savory. The one thing I never expected to see it made into was wine. But sure enough Common Sense Home has shared a recipe for making pumpkin wine.
It can be made in a dry or a sweet version and then it is racked for a whole year. So if you want to try some pumpkin wine you will need to make it now and then you can serve it up next year through the holidays. It is a very interesting recipe as it has raisins and nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. I might have to make some just so I can try it out. I am not a big wine drinker but this sounds very good.
