For times when you have no venison make this chicken jerky instead. I make beef jerky and venison jerky all the time. I can make 3 pounds of venison jerky and it will be gone in less than 3 weeks. It is very much enjoyed around here. The problem arises when we have no venison to make jerky with. Yes I can and will make beef jerky but beef prices are getting pretty high and if I am going to buy beef I would rather make a nice meal out of it rather than a snack for the guys. Luckily I ran across this recipe from Yankee kitchen ninja for making jerky with chicken, oh thank you ever so much there Yankee. Now the fellows can have their jerky and I can have my roast beef.
