Meat Bagels For Your Low Carb Efforts

I know a lot of folks are trying to eat less carbs and while I try I find it really hard to give up bread. I love toast and tortilla and bread, all kinds of bread. While I can mostly not eat bread all by its self or with just butter on it there are some things that just can’t hardly be done without bread, like sandwiches.

How do you make a sandwich with out bread? Look no further, Ditch The Wheat has come up with a genius idea. The meat bagel!  What you ask is a meat bagel? Well a meat bagel is meat that is seasoned with mostly the flavors you would find in a cabbage roll. She used ground pork ( I think you could use ground turkey too) and tomato sauce along with onion ,eggs and a few other spices and then shapes it into bagel shape and bakes them.

Once cooled you slice them just like a bagel and add your favorite sandwich fillings. While I don’t think I would like this with something like peanut butter and jelly I do think it would be awesome with eggs lettuce and mayo or as a ham and cheese sandwich. There are many filling you could use.

Since the bagel is made of meat you could just fill it with your favorite veggies and cheese. Either way you want to use it, it can help you have your sandwiches even if you are low carbing.
