My Safety Whistle: Worth its Weight in Gold

Reading this I thought  about how many different uses for a safety whistle could a person have. Then I thought of my kids and grand kids.
How many uses I could have and should have. Think about all the stories of kids lost on camping or hiking trips. Or kids almost being snatched off the street on the way to or from school or friends houses.
We women usually have some pepper spray or mace on us but what do our kids have? One of these whistles could come in very handy for them. Put it on a lanyard for camping or walking/hiking trips or visits to malls or zoo. Clip it to their backpacks for school.
At least they would have something.
