Pakoras, Onions Fritters in Chickpea Batter Recipe – Vegetarian

Called Pakoras in India where they make them these onion fritters are delicious. For anyone that loves onion rings as much as I do I think you will love this recipe. It is think sliced onions in a batter of chick pea flour with spices and herbs that are then dropped into hot oil and fried. So incredibly delicious. You get the fried onions like onion rings but taken to the next level with a touch of sassy. If you love onions you simply must try this recipe. The chick pea flour is usually found with flours in the grocery store. I call coriander cilantro and if you can’t get curry leaves I have used basil leaves or just go without them. I also had to cut the red chili powder down to a fourth of a teaspoon but I am wimpy and if you like your food to bite you back then add the whole teaspoon or even more if you like it really hot. These are totally addicting and whenever I make them I double the recipe for my family, otherwise they want me to make them again the next day. Indugets Cooking shares the recipe.
