Marksvegplot shared a recipe for making pickled pears. I had never heard of them or even knew that folks pickled pears but I think it sounds interesting and I would like to pickle some and try the recipe. I love pears and I can find them at reasonable cost when they are in season. I will try this and will be glad if we like them as it will add a different type pear recipe to the list.
