Many homesteaders who have finally got a good size chunk of land may decide to do some gardening ( farming ) larger than a rototiller can handle. A tractor is a tool, that helps get more done with less of a workforce. Whether you are growing food for your own family, to become part of a farmer’s market or co-op – using proper machinery can lessen the backbreaking work.
Homesteaders come from all kinds of skill levels and backgrounds but that can do spirit, can shine through everyone. I know many of The Homestead Survival readers would get a kick out of gathering for a workshop to learn how to drive a tractor and being able to get behind the wheel for a bit.
