Make A Protective Paw Wax For Your Pets

If you have pets that go outdoors you can make a protective paw wax for them. Paw wax something you may find helpful for them, especially in winter. It is all natural and will help treat or prevent irritation to the paws from hot or cold. Made from all natural ingredients this will help to keep the paws from cracking if the pet is walking or running on super hot or cold surfaces. Make A Protective Paw Wax For Your Pets

Things You’ll Need

  •  2 tablespoons olive, sunflower or almond oil
  •  2 tablespoons coconut oil
     1 tablespoon shea butter
     4 teaspoons beeswax

Stir the ingredients together well as they melt over low heat. Pour the finished product into a lip balm tin or airtight container and let it cool before storing.   When you bring your pet back indoors wipe any remaining wax and dirt the wax might have picked up with baby wipes or a damp cloth. This will prevent it being tracked through the house. If you are going to be out with the dog for long periods, you should bring the paw wax along and re-apply it every few hours to keep the paws protected.
