For anyone that has an elderly dog that can’t do stairs anymore or just a dog you would rather didn’t go upstairs unattended Sew Many Ways has a nice tutorial on making this pvc dog gate for the stairs. I love this because it doesn’t have to be attached to the walls so no repairing of holes later and it is simple to use by sliding it open enough to get through. Looks easy to make and would have to be less expensive that the gates you buy.
