During catastrophic storms, it is the flood water that ends up doing the most damage. One way to slow down and prevent the water from getting into buildings and home is to use sandbags.

The density of the packed sand inside the bags help to hold back the water. However, time is usually not on your side and you need to be able to get the sand into the bags as quickly as possible.

This Do It Yourself project was created and shared in hopes to help show others a quick and easy to replicate method for filling sandbags. While they are extremely useful for stopping water from getting into the places you don’t want it, however, getting the sand into the bags quickly is not so easy.
