Every day carry of a pocket knife is probably one of the most overlooked emergency preparedness tips of all. A pocket knife can be used in so many ways that it would be hard to count them all.

You can use it to open a box, cut rope or cords if needed, pry off a bottle top. cut open a can of food, cutting twine on bales of hay, self defense, great for camping,  shapening a pencil to write with or a stick to spear fish with, peeling fruit or vegetables, cutting fishing line or paracord, cut through a stuck seatbelt, held closed in your fist you could use one end to strike a car windo in order to escape if the doors were unopenable (from an accident or due to being in water), used to make traps or snares and then to clean and skin what you catch in order to provide meat for a meal.Use to tighten or loosen a screw, fix eye glasses this way.
