Repurpose a Step Stool To a Learning Tower

For anyone with a toddler check out this diy repurpose a step stool to a learning tower project. If you have a toddler in your life then you know how they want to be involved in everything you are doing. Folks that are bringing their kids up in the Montessori style. This is allowing children to grow at their own pace.

Repurpose a Step Stool To a Learning Tower

All young ones want to be with the adult of their choice when ever possible. When we are doing work at the counter or washing the dishes and or cooking the toddlers are too short to see or participate and sometimes you end up trying to get things done with one hand while holding the baby in the other arm so they can watch. By repurposing a step stool like this one from Ikea into a learning tower, your little one can climb up in it and see what you are doing and play along side you.

Most of them will also be able to push the stool around to get to the area they wish to see. This allows them to watch or play at your level while freeing both of your arms to get on with what ever chore you are doing. The toddler can also have water play and when old enough get themselves a drink of water. The stool sells for 15 dollars so with a few more wood pieces you can make your own learning tower and save a bundle because learning towers sell for upwards of one hundred dollars.
