Seared Braised And Shredded Beef Tacos From The Crock Pot

If you are looking for a recipe that you can set up before work and come home to a meal ready to go on the table, you just found one. This recipe for shredded beef tacos is all made in the crock pot once you have seared your meat. You don’t have to sear it but it is much better if you do. Then you put it into the crock pot with some delicious spices herbs and peppers and turn it on low and go to work. When you get home, you just shred the beef with two forks, heat tortillas, fill with beef and add toppings of your choice and dinner is served. This beef tastes like what you would get in a nice Mexican restaurant.

This is a good recipe to double if you are planning to have a lot of people over. You can set it up and they can make their own tacos leaving you to enjoy yourself instead of serving people. The Cooking Jar shares the recipe and I love it. I do make one change, she only adds 1 jalapeno where I add 5 or 6 because we like it a little spicy. I love crock pot recipes in the summer because you can slow cook those tougher cuts of meat and not use the oven which heats up the whole house. The crock pot could even be set out on the deck or patio if you didn’t want the heat of it in the house.
