I know a lot of folks like more of the current fad of show as much as you can but I also know there has to be some folks out there like me that still believe in leaving something to the imagination.
Either way this style dress can work for you as it can be made as short as you wish and you can always make it as form fitting as you want. I love how easy it is to make the dress. Basically you make your pattern ( you can even use newspaper) then cut your material out and sew all the seams.
Then turn the neck edge under and sew it and then hem the bottom and you are ready to wear the dress. This would also work for making girls dresses for school. Making your own would save a lot of money over store bought. Leaving plenty to buy shoes or accessories to go with your dresses.
