It’s a wonderful time of year as we start celebrating a season of blessings and thanks-giving. This is the season for family and yummy comfort foods. This means it’s the time for pumpkin pie. A wonderful treat for all to enjoy as we either build our pies from scratch or buy them in the store.
Well, there’s a new way to eat this yummy treat and that’s with crescent rolls. At first glance, you may be wondering how this is possible. It’s actually a really simple recipe with only six ingredients to make the rolls and the icing you’ll want to drizzle over them for added sweetness.
So, if you’re ready to give it a try, let’s get the ingredients you need ready. You’ll need some pumpkin pie filling, a roll of crescent rolls, an egg for its yolk, powdered sugar, milk, and maple syrup. The first three will make the rolls while the last three will make the glaze.
As you mix them together, you’ll find yourself trying not to lick the bowl clean before you finish putting the filling in the rolls. Now, it does take 10 to 12 minutes to bake, so you’ll need to distract yourself from this delicious treat. When they’re done, share them with your family, especially your little ones, and maybe your friends. They’re so good that you’ll be making them through the entire season.
Every year, we look forward to that changing of season, the season where the temperatures are dropping, the season of harvesting squashes, apples, and gourds.
