DIY Skin Tag Remedy

If you or someone you know has skin tags. This skin tag remedy can help get rid of them. If you go to the doctor for skin tag removal they usually numb around the tag and then snip it off with scissors.

Depending on how big it is they may put in a stitch or  sometimes they will cauterize it. You shouldn’t really need to see a doctor for skin tags though. At home you can use apple cider vinegar to remove a skin tag.

Start by cleaning the area well, then apply a Q tip  saturated with vinegar. Hold the swab there for 10 to 15 minutes. You should do this a few times a day. The acid in the vinegar will start drying the tag and after a few days it will turn dark and then fall off.  If they are big enough that you can tie a length of thread around it at the base and knot the thread, this will cut off the blood supply to the tag and it will fall off.

Once you have tied the knot in the thread you can snip the thread close to the tag so it isn’t hanging and noticeable.  I have always found this to be the easiest and the less time consuming. Once you have the thread knotted you can forget about the skin tag. In a few days you will just notice that it is gone.  If you would like to see how a doctor removes them you can watch the video below.
