Laundry Detergent Recipe
Place two to four soap nuts in a cheese cloth drawstring bag or just use an old sock knotted at the top and place in washing machine on top of the dirty clothes.
Wash your clothes as you normally do.
You can use the SAME cheese cloth drawstring bag or knotted sock for four to seven wash loads before having to replace the soap nuts with new ones. ( You can use them in more wash loads)
Used soap nut shells can be composted.
Soap nuts have a vinegar type smell BEFORE they are used but this does not affect the smell of the clothing ….actually at the end of the wash cycle, clothing smells clean, bright and fresh.
This is one of the frugal forms of washing laundry with the no man made chemicals.
This is the most hypoallergenic option for sensitive skin.
