First , you have to decide where you want your stacked stone wall. Once you have a space in mind, dig a trench that is about 8 inches deep, and line it with landscape fabric. Fill the trench with drainage stones, and cover them with the fabric. Choose the pallet of stone you want, you can recycle old ones or purchase new from store. Layer the pallets, and level them with the help of a guide string.

The large rocks can be used at the front for foundation, and the small ones can be used to fill empty spaces in the back. Keep adding layers of stones with the proper levelling up to the height that you want for your wall. For easy leveling, use pea gravel which acts as a filler in each stone layer, and provides stability to the entire wall.

Once you have layered all your rocks in the style that you wanted, your stone wall is ready to show to your friends.
