I suppose for some this post is going to seem dumb. I apologize now if you find it a dumb post but I really feel it needs to be done and if you have or know people with small children you may feel the need to share it.
In the last few days I have read of 2 toddlers that were killed. The first child died after a television set he was playing in front of either slid off or maybe the child pulled on the tv stand but either way the tv set landed on him and killed him. The other child was killed when he tried to climb the front of a chest of drawers after opening the bottom drawer. The whole thing tipped over on to him and killed him.
I don’t know if folks have not heard of tv and furniture straps or not but evidently they are not using them. So after the death of these latest babies from tipping furniture bothering me for most of last night I am on a mission this morning to let folks know.
There are straps you can attach to tall chests and tvs that will prevent them from tipping over onto your child. Please, please use them. And please share this info with parents of toddlers that you love.
