The venison steak is pounded and browned then placed in a covered casserole and covered in a tomato based chili sauce and slow baked in the oven so that it is tender and delicious. Learning And Yearning shares the recipe for the Swiss steak venison and says it goes really well with mashed potatoes. I think I like it better over pasta but it can be served both ways or any way you prefer. It is delicious.
