Test Your Prepping Skills by Going Camping

One of the best ways to test your prepping skills is by going camping to use all the emergency preparedness skills you have been working so hard to build. Fire starting, cooking over a campfire, wild food foraging, map reading, purifying water, lash a tripod together, set up a shelter, fishing, tying knots, tracking animals and hiking. With dedication and practice, self-reliance skills can become second nature.

My absolute favorite camping/survival book is “Camping & Wilderness Survival, 2nd: The Ultimate Outdoors Book” which I take on every camping trips so I can test tips from the book.
