Do you ever get a craving for something that is both salty and sweet at the same time? I know I am usually the type that wants the sweet things. I have a friend that will always reach for the salty items. But what do you do if you have a day where you want both? When I get like that I usually make my own Kettle Corn. It is made with brown sugar and some salt so you get both the salty and the sweet and it really satisfies the craving. Then I found this recipe for toffee bars that have chocolate, popcorn, graham crackers and you can even add peanuts and I am saving it until my next craving for both salty and sweet because this stuff looks totally delicious and I have every thing in the house to make them so I will be ready.
We had grilled pineapple and watermelon on the fourth so I am good on sweets right now but this recipe is so going to be made when the next craving starts. Bakers Royale shares this recipe and says they left the peanuts out due to allergies so you can add or leave out as suits. It takes about 30 minutes to make but I would advise having others around when you make them because otherwise you may end up eating way more than you should and besides, good food should be shared.
