Most folks want trees on their property. Homesteaders I think mostly want fruit trees but some folks want trees as a wind block or for shade or to prevent erosion among other reasons. For what ever your reasons for planting trees on your land here is a list of eleven trees you should never plant. Some have extensive root systems, some throw off branches. Other have enormous amount of pollen and still others just are not long lived. So if you are planning on planting trees on your place you may want to check out this list so you don’t waste your time planting a tree you will grow to hate or have to cut down at some point in the future.
