Wool Blanket Or Mss Which Would You Choose

Wool blanket or Mss which would you choose if you were going hunting or camping and it was going to be very cold at night? I would have chosen the wool blanket every time till now. I have heard all my life that a wool blanket is the absolute best thing to have to keep you warm.

The main reason was always that because it would keep you warm even if it was wet. While it will in a way keep you warmer because it won’t freeze as easily wet as other types of blankets will, it also won’t stay dry like I thought. I always assumed that the lanolin from the sheep that would be in the wool would act like a water repellent but it seems that is not true. Or not totally true, while it will repel water for a little while,it will become saturated if exposed to water long enough.
