How to Force Tulips to Grow in Winter – Indoor Flowers

 

Sand And Sisal website shares steps that allows you to buy tulip bulbs when they’re available in fall and force them to bloom any time during the winter.

A shorter growing variety of tulips are perfect for this project. Tulipa humilis (‘Alba Coerulea Oculata’) white tulip , T. puchella (Tulipa violacea) hot pink tulip and Apricot Beauty – blends of many hues: salmon, rose, apricot are the easiest to force indoors.
Select large, firm bulbs, avoiding soft smaller-sized ones and store them in a cool place until you’re ready to force them.
