Seed Starter 2 Charts By Temperature & Germination Length

This chart will help gardeners understand the soil temperatures needed to encourage as many different species of seeds as possible to grow and how long germination takes.

Sometimes, the instructions on a seed packet only offers a month to sow outdoors, or the number of weeks before last frost to sow indoors.

Seeds will germinate indoors when the soil temperature is constant temperature although a indoor drop in temperature of 10 degrees will not significantly delay seedling from sprouting. Remember, in nature temperatures tend to drop overnight.
