Build a goat shelter from pallets and save. A pallet is a flat structure constructed for transport but is often used for construction purposes as swell. For transport purposes, it is very useful because it provides a flat and stable platform which makes lifting easier and safe. For construction purposes, it is quite convenient because you can build using the entire pallet or separate the different boards used to make the pallet.
Pallets are very handy when it comes to preparing sheds and shelters for farm animals. The animals need a warm place to rest and sleep in harsh winter and the wood of the pallet is provides a cosy environment. You can also build the shelters in different sizes and that is quite easy to do when you are using pallets. In this post from the Heritage Club Stables, the author, Delci, has outlined the procedure to construct double sized pallet goat shelters which are an improvement from the previous post where single sized shelter was constructed.
The author describes the behaviour of her farm animals which gave her the idea to build a bigger shed for the gat family on the farm. The procedure has been written coupled with appropriate images so it is easy to follow post.
