If you love the feeling you get from soaking in a tub of water with Epsom salt but you don’t have the time to sit in a tub make some homemade no time to soak Epsom salt lotion and massage it into all those sore muscles.
This way you can still get the help of the Epsom salt without spending the time in the bathtub. The GFCF Lady shares a tutorial on how to make your own homemade lotion using Epsom salt saturated water and your favorite thick, preferably water based lotion. After reading the comments on her tutorial I did see that if you would like your lotion to have an even higher concentration of the Epsom salt, that you should put the water in a saucepan and have it boiling as you start adding the salt and keep adding until the water won’t dissolve any more.
The boiling water will take in a lot more of the Epsom salt so your lotion will be more Epsom salt concentrated. I love how soaking in Epsom salt feels while I am soaking but I don’t really like how it dries out my skin. I think since you are using it with a lotion that this drying effect would probably not happen with not time to soak Epsom salt lotion.
