Living History School shares an amazing video detailing the steps and method of washing clothes and household linens without electricity.

We all know the basic principles of washing clothes but it is helpful to visually see how this old traditional method was once done. The step by step process is back breaking labor intensive process that modern day homesteaders are happy to avoid if possible.

From drawing water from the well, heating it over an open campfire, scrubbing clothes on a washboard, rinsing and hanging it on a clothesline… all the steps are clearly demonstrated.
