Beans, cabbage, corn, and horseradish will enhance potatoes to grow more rapidly and greatly improve the flavor of your potatoes when grown together. Plant nasturtium around potato plants to repel Colorado potato beetle which can damage your potato crop. It is best to avoid planting potatoes near tomatoes, sunflowers, raspberries, pumpkins, squash or cucumbers because these plants seem to weaken the potato plant making them more susceptible to blight.
