Canning meat is a great way to save meat you might have purchased when it was on sale or if you know you aren’t going to have time over the next few weeks or months to prepare meat ahead of time. It takes a little work up front, but once you get it in the cans, it will save you a bunch of time when you prepare it later on in your favorite dishes.

This tutorial will take you through the simple steps you need to take to can your own meat. However, the first thing you should know is that you can’t do this tutorial if you don’t have a pressure canner. Unfortunately, meat needs to be canned using this method or else it isn’t safe for consumption.
