How a Dumpster Became a Family Swimming Pool

This look into how a dumpster became a family swimming pool when New Orleans based architect ” Stefan Beese” has transformed an old dumpster shipping container into an upscale looking private pool in his backyard for his family to play, relax and cool down in refreshing water.

To create a dumpster pool:
– The dumpster was cleaned then coated with anti-corrosive paint
– Shallow hole dug about 1 foot deep then layer of limestone was placed to protect the soil underneath the pool
– The steel container was then lined with half inch high density insulation foam and a flexible pool liner for padding.
– Pine slats hide the dumpster’s metal sides to create a modern exterior that blends into the natural landscaping.
