Keyhole Campfire Cooking Technique

The keyhole campfire cooking technique is a combination of a campfire and a cooking fire. As the wood burns and creates glowing embers that can be moved over from the main circle into the keyhole area. By cooking above embers and not flames, it creates an even heat source.

The bed of hot coals can be continually replenished from the main campfire as you cook.A campfire is a source of light, warmth, predator deterrent, to cook upon, and a mental sense of security while camping.
